Abstract
서 론
유치의 기능은 저작, 발음, 심미성 및 악골의 성장유도 이외에도 영구치 맹출을 위한 공간
유지에 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 따라서 유치의 조기상실은 위에서 언급한 여러가지 기능
을 상실함은 물론 치열궁의 발육 및 계승영구치의 발육에 상당한 영향을 미치는 것으로 알
려져 있으며 이외에도 유치와 탈락시기와 후속영구치의 맹출시기 및 맹출순서등이 소아치과
임상 및 예방교정치료 분야에서 매우 중요하다.
유치의 조기상실의 원인은 주로 치아우식증으로 인한 치근단 병소, 외상등을 들수 있으며
이외에도 교정치료에 의한 치아이동 그리고 원인을 알 수 없는 치근 흡수로 인한 탈락 등을 들 수 있다.

premature eruption of succedaneous permanent teeth following premature extraction of
primary teeth, cause many clinical problems.
In the state of short root with decreased support by bone and abscence of attached
gingva around teeth, the occusal stress amy cause the increased mobility of tooth which
infection and fallon out of teeth or shorted root formation.
Objectives of the treatment were to prevent adverse effects such as infection, fallon
out of tooth, or abnormal root formation which induce significant clinical signs and to
maintain space for eruption of permanent teeth.
The treatments were done by wearing space maintainers, such as lingual arch or
palatal arch type, crown and loop or band and loop type with auxillary wire oriented
mesiostally or along occlusal grooves.
We observed reduced tooth mobility, edema on surrounding tissue, sensation to
perecussion, and nomal development of root
Futher, periodic recall check is needed for evaluation of root development.
